Investing.com – German stocks fell after the close on Friday, as losses in stocks and sectors dragged stocks lower.

At the end of trading in Frankfurt, the index fell by 0.17%, while the index lost 0.30%, and the index lost 0.46%.

The best performers of the session were Commerzbank AG ON (ETR:), which rose 1.98% or 0.30 points and reached 15.47 at the close. As for the weakest performance at the end of today's trading, E.ON SE (ETR:) stock closed down 5.22%, or 0.70 points, and traded at 12.70 at the close. Zalando C (ETR:) declined by 3.72%, or 0.94 points, to a price of 24.31, while Sartorius AG VZO ON (ETR:) declined by 3.28%, or 9.10 points, to a price of 268.50.

Among the weakest performing stocks today were Evotec AG ON (ETR:), which fell by 4.97%, closing at 9.76, and Sartorius AG VZO ON (ETR:), which lost 3.28%, closing at 268.50. Nagaro C (ETR:), which fell by 3.11% and closed at 85.80.

The number of declining stocks outnumbered the rising stocks on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 302 shares compared to 300 shares, and 40 shares closed unchanged.
