Intrusive thoughts can be overwhelming, distracting, and draining. They often arise from anxious-depressive conditions or unhealed traumatic episodes, leading to procrastination and/or depression. To help yourself with anxious thoughts, don't criticize yourself, observe your thoughts non-judgmentally, try creative activities, and engage in sports. Keeping a trigger journal can also be helpful to track what provokes Obsessive Thoughts and initiate a plan to work with triggers. Remember, thoughts are not your entire self, and you can learn to untangle this mental tangle.
