Iraq and Saudi Becoming Best Friends Trade Up To $1.5 Billion

Saudi Trade Minister Majid Al-Qasabi proclaimed that trade exchange with Iraq had risen to $1.5 billion, also stating that Saudi Arabia is ready to provide all its assets to Iraq.

Al-Qasabi declared at the Iraqi-Saudi Economic Forum: "The numbers in the field of economic and trade relations between both countries are not matching up to the expectations of leaders, businessmen, and the citizens of these two nations, so we would like to increase our cooperation."

He pointed out that "his country will make use of all their resources, protocols, and rules and put them into the service of Iraq," stressing that "the private sector is a practically indispensable partner for development in any country and an essential element for any economy."

According to Al-Qasabi, "the annual volume of trade exchange between both countries rose last year to one billion five hundred million dollars, which is higher than previous figures."

"He will hold monthly discussions with his Saudi peers about investment opportunities, answers, and solutions, then present recommendations to Iraqi officials to invigorate investment endeavors," he added.

At last, Al-Qasabi concluded: "I tell every Iraqi and Saudi, whether businessman or official; we are here at your service and under your command for whatever problem arises."
