IMPORTANT:  There is now a bill in Congress to abolish income tax.  This is not a joke.  This is real.  There is so much news coming out of Iraq that the channel is now placing News Updates in the channel’s community section.  You should know a Republican Senator has introduced a bill in Congress to get rid of the Income Tax and possibly the IRS as well.  There is a link in the community section that will explain these new developments.  Now moving on to International news that may or may not affect Iraq at least not directly.  What is Brics and what is all the rumors about BRICS and the US dollar?  I believe after this report you will better understand what is NOT going to happen.

BRICS is an acronym for five leading emerging economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.  The BRICS have a combined area of  over (15.3 million square miles and an estimated total population of about 3.21 billion.  Another way to look at BRICS total stat is: they have around 26.7% of the world's land surface and 41.5% of the global population. Brazil, Russia, India, and China are among the world's ten largest countries by population,

Since South Africa joined the BRIC grouping that is when it became BRICS in 2010.  The founding members of BRIC, Brazil, Russia, India and China had its first meeting in 2l006 in New York City of all places.  The organization was legally formed in 2011. Numerous other countries have expressed interest in joining the bloc, including Argentina and Iran.  Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt also expressed their interest in joining BRICS but have not yet submitted formal requests.  The rule is, any government wanting to join, must receive unanimous backing from all existing BRICS members—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—to receive an invitation.

Now there is a lot of talk online about BRICS, but most of it is hype.  The official mission for the organization reads like this:  BRICS aims at promoting peace, security, development and cooperation among the five countries and significantly contributes to the establishment of a more equitable and fair world.  Your screen should show you the United States foreign aid for 2023.  Hopefully you see or saw that all the countries associated with BRICS including many more countries are included and receiving foreign aid from the United States.
