1 | Per Port's 2024 State of Internal Developer Portals (IDPs) report, 50% of respondents have started implementing a portal or plan to do so in the next year (35%). Port surveyed 100 engineering leaders from the U.S. and Western Europe to prepare the report. More: - Among developers who use an internal developer portal, 53% use in-house, backstage, and commercial products, while 35% use spreadsheets, which are not considered a true IDP.
- Over half (56%) expect an IDP to improve developer productivity, followed by reduced time to deployment (25%), the mere use of the portal (11%), and fewer open tickets (8%).
- 78% of developers said they spend three or more hours each day on non-core work because of not adopting platform engineering.
- Organizations reported using surveys (43%) and custom reports (31%) to measure developer productivity. Other measures included the DevEx framework (15%), DORA metrics (5%), and SPACE (5%).

2 | OpenAI launched GPT Store, an app store for GPTs built using its AI models, introduced during its DevDay event. Gpt Store will be available to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise users to find and use popular GPTs. More: - The GPT Store will serve as a marketplace for GPT builders to showcase and sell their customized chatbots.
- OpenAI said it will launch a revenue-sharing program in the first quarter. Meanwhile, U.S.-based builders will receive payment based on user engagement with their GPTs.
- OpenAI plans to showcase new featured GPTs every week, and its initial recommendations include Code Tutor, built by Khan Academy, to enhance coding skills.
- Further, OpenAI launched ChatGPT Team, a new self-serve plan that provides access to GPT-4 with a 32K context window, tools like DALL.E 3, a secure collaborative workspace, and admin tools for team management.

3 | Software delivery platform Harness acquired Armory's key intellectual property and technology. Harness CEO and founder Jyoti Bansal told TechCrunch that the acquisition price of the all-cash deal was approximately $7M. More: - Through the acquisition, Harness aims to expand its continuous delivery capabilities and enhance developer experience and productivity.
- Harness said Armory customers will undergo a smooth transition to Harness and emphasized its commitment to business continuity.
- Harness plans to recruit Armory's engineering and customer support employees to help continue to innovate and support the latter's existing clients.
- Armory has raised $82M to date, with the latest being the $40M Series C round led by B Capital in 2020.

4 | Open-source frontend platform Deco raised a $2.2M seed round. MAYA Capital led the funding round, which saw participation from FJ Labs, Lanx, and Crivo Ventures. More: - Deco's frontend platform enables web developers to build high-performance digital experiences with Deno, JSX, and Tailwind.
- The startup's co-founder Rafael Crespo claims its clients have experienced a five times increase in PageSpeed score and a 30% increase in conversion rates.
- Since its launch in October 2022, Deco has signed over 65 clients and grown its community to more than 2,400 web developers and 36 system integration partner agencies.
- Proceeds from the investment round will be used to add AI capabilities across the platform, add more engineers to its team, and expand to new markets.

5 | New Tools and Updates: - Android announced Google Play will start to support more RMG apps this year, following positive feedback for a successful pilot launch. Android plans to launch the expanded RMG support to developers for their users in India, Mexico, and Brazil in June.
- At its first Open Studio event, Wix Studio unveiled new revenue-sharing opportunities and rolled out new design features such as image mask, mouse parallax, vertical text, and merge and swap cells on the Section Grid. New developer updates include increased CMS quotas for free sites, integration of full Velo IDE into Studio, and the ability to work with any NPM package available on the registry.
- Python 3.13, scheduled for release in October, is expected to include the new just-in-time (JIT) compiler, resulting in speed improvements and significant future optimizations.
