Haridwar SIIDCUL Update : The persistent heavy rainfall has inflicted significant damage on the Road infrastructure in Siidcul, resulting in a state of disrepair. The roads, including those constructed by the Public Works Department, have been eroded by the unrelenting downpour.

Notably, Sector 5 is currently grappling with waterlogged roads, causing considerable inconvenience for commuters. The situation has taken a distressing turn as an entire section of road within Sector 5 has collapsed, exacerbating the dire circumstances. Adding to the concern, the protective wall of a storm drain near a petrol pump has also given way.

The pressing predicament extends to Sector 8-A, where residents and employees are facing considerable hardships even while attempting basic mobility. The deteriorated road conditions have led to accidents, particularly for motorcyclists who find themselves navigating treacherous potholes.

Testimonies from individuals such as Ramesh, Vijay Pal, Pravind, Mahendra, Rajendra, Sushma, Aarti, Poonam, and others echo the sentiment that traversing the roads in Siidcul has become an arduous undertaking. Potholes are ubiquitous, further intensifying the challenges for pedestrians.

Himesh Kapoor, President of the SIIDCUL Inter Prayer Welfare Association, expressed disillusionment, highlighting that repeated appeals to SIIDCUL officials for road repairs have yielded no tangible results thus far. In response, Girdhar Rawat, the Regional Manager of SIIDCUL, has offered reassurance that a comprehensive road reconstruction initiative will be launched once the rainy season subsides.
