Process 1: Restart the QBPOS Database Manager

  • The very first step is to click on ok tab when the dialog box appears
  • After that Reboot your system
  • Now, try to open the Point of Sales application

  • For Windows XP: Click start–>Run
  • For Windows 7: Go to Start–>All Programs–>Accessories–>Run
  • Now, type services.MSC in the field-->OK
  • Also, click QBPOS Database Manager vXX–>Start (XXXX is the version of QBPOS currently used)

Process 2: Update the POS Updates

  • At first, the user should open the software
  • Now, click on the Product update Page

Process 3: Re-install the .NET framework

Process 4: Create Windows User Account

  • Also, select User Accounts (Search Bar)
  • Head to Manage User Accounts
  • Now, Manage another account.
  • The next step is to click the Create a new account button.
  • Also, rename this account.
  • Now, head to the administrator as the User Type.
  • The last step is to log off the windows account.

Process 5: Uninstall QuickBooks Desktop POS

  • The very first step is to reinstall QuickBooks Desktop POS software
  • Ensure to take a backup of your data before uninstalling the POS software.
  • Close the rest of the programs.
  • After the installation is done, rename these files/ folders:
    • QuickBooks Point of Sale XX folder.
    • QBPOSDBSrvUser folder
    • QuickBooks Point of Sale XX folder
  • After renaming all these folders and files, remove QBPOSDBSrvUser windows login. Here is how you can do that:
  • Windows+R–>User Accounts ->Manage User Accounts ->Manage another account –>QBPOSDBSrvUser–>Delete the account–> Yes
  • After you’ve gone through this process, restart the device, and reinstall the software.
  • Once you’ve created and logged out of the user account, log in again. Then, open the POS and check if QuickBooks Error 100 persists or not.
