4 Smallcap stocks with high DII holding; Do you own any?

Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) include a class of investors that impact an economy’s net investment flows. They invest in the financial assets and securities of the country they are currently residing in. DIIs include Indian mutual funds, insurance companies, pension funds, and banking and financial institutions. 

Here are a few companies in which Diis Hold a significant stake: 

Shriram Properties Ltd 

Shriram Properties is a part of the Shriram Group and is a well-recognized brand in the retail financial services sector and several other industries. The company’s shares are trading at ₹ 75.55 apiece and it has a market capitalization of ₹ 1290 crores. 

DIIs hold a 43.32% stake in it. These include Nippon India Small Cap Fund, SBI Life Insurance Company Limited, Pioneer Investment Fund, and Sundaram Long Term microcap tax advantage fund series III. 

DCB Bank Ltd 

DCB Bank is a new generation private sector bank in India. It has 405 branches and is regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. The bank has a market capitalization of ₹ 3109 crores and its shares are trading at ₹ 100.10 apiece. 

DIIs hold a 37.62% stake in the bank. These include DSP Small Cap Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, HDFC Small Cap Fund, ICICI Prudential Banking And Financial Services Fund, and India Advantage Fund S4 I amongst others. 

Gateway Distriparks Ltd 

Gateway Distriparks Ltd is an integrated intermodal logistics service provider. It offers general & bonded warehousing, rail & road transportation, container handling services and other value-added services. Its shares are trading at ₹ 68.15 apiece and it has a market capitalization of ₹ 3,400 crores. 

DIIs like ICICI Prudential value discovery Fund, Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund, SBI Balanced Advantage Fund, HDFC Small Cap Fund and Life Insurance Corporation of India hold a stake in the company. Together, all DIIs hold a 37.07% stake in it. 

Equitas Holdings Ltd 

Equitas Holdings Ltd is engaged in a non-deposit-taking Systemically Important Core Investment Company (CIC-ND-SI). It carries on business as a Non-Banking Financial Institution. It has a market capitalization of ₹ 3450 crores and its shares are trading at ₹ 101.00 apiece. 

DIIs like Franklin India Mutual Fund, DSP Mutual Fund, ICICI Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund and Sundaram Mutual Fund hold a stake in the company. Together all DIIs hold a 34.95% stake in the company.

A few other stocks with high DII holdings include Greenply Industries Ltd (33.41%), ICRA Ltd. (28.70%), Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Ltd. (27.49%), MTAR Technologies Ltd (27.26%), Dish TV India Ltd (26.56%), and Jet Airways (India) Ltd (26.08%).
