Stocks to Watch: Upcoming Dividends, Bonuses, Stock Splits, and More

Market barometers BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 jumped on Friday backed by gains across sectors. Financial, IT and FMCG Sectors were some of the biggest contributors to the rise in both indices. The BSE Sensex closed in the green at 58833.87 points as it gained 0.10% or 59.15 points. Similarly, the Nifty 50 quoted 36.45 points or 0.21% higher at 17558.90 points on Friday’s closing bell. India VIX was at 19.57.

Some of the top gainers of Friday were Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd., Indo Count Industries Ltd., The New India Assurance Company Ltd., Just Dial Ltd. and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. On the other hand, some of the top losers were KRBL Ltd., Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd., APL Apollo Tubes Ltd., RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd. and Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd.

On a provisional basis, FIIs were net sellers of ₹ 51.12 crores in the cash segment on August 26, 2022, while DIIs were net buyers of ₹ 453.59 crores in the cash segment as of the same date. Here are a few stocks that investors can watch for this week.

Adani Enterprises and New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV): Vishvapradhan Commercial (VCPL) an indirect subsidiary of Adani Enterprises has exercised certain warrants to acquire a 99.5 per cent shareholding in  RRPR holdings, a promoter company of NDTV.

This acquisition would mean that Adani Enterprises is indirectly acquiring control of NDTV since RRPR holds a 29.18 per cent stake in NDTV. VCPL, AMG Media Networks (AMNL) and Adani Enterprises will launch an open offer to acquire up to 26 per cent stake in NDTV.
