Michael Thomas Green is a Canadian comedian, actor, and rapper who was born on July 30, 1971. He rose to fame as a shock comedian thanks to his MTV show, The Tom Green Show (1994–2000). [2] Green has also acted in the films Road Trip (2000), Charlie’s Angels (2000), Freddy Got Fingered (2001; directed by Green), Stealing Harvard (2002), and Shred (2002). (2008). He was married to Drew Barrymore, who co-starred with him in Charlie’s Angels and Freddy Got Fingered, for a short time (2001–2002).

Early Life: Green was the older of two sons born to Mary Jane, a communications consultant, and Richard Green, a computer systems analyst and former army captain, in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada. He attended Henry Munro Middle School, Colonel By Secondary School, and Cairine Wilson Secondary School in Gloucester, Ontario (now a part of Ottawa), where he grew up on a Canadian Army base near Pembroke, CFB Petawawa. Green earned his bachelor’s degree in television broadcasting from Algonquin College in 1994.

Career:Green began performing stand-up comedy at local comedy clubs when he was barely 15 years old. Yuk Yuk’s comedy club was the most famous of these establishments. He continued to do so and schedule shows for the next two and a half years, until he chose to cancel a booking to travel to New York with his rap group. He rapped under the moniker “MC Bones” for the rap group Organized Rhyme. When their single “Check The O.R.” was nominated for a Juno Award in 1993 and won the MuchVibe Best Rap Video Award in 1992, they had limited, short-lived popularity. Green also aired a radio show while attending Algonquin College.

Green got his own show, “The Tom Green Show,” in 1994. It was free and aired on Rogers Television 22 in the Ottawa region on public access television. Each episode lasted an hour and featured no ads, and the show broadcast 50 episodes over two seasons until 1996. It was structured like a variety show, with Green hosting guests and inviting bands to perform in front of a live audience. Pre-recorded pieces were also shown, mainly depicting Green pulling pranks on others, most notably his parents, Richard and Mary Jane. The show then aired a one-time pilot on CBC in October 1996. The Comedy Network in Canada picked it up in 1997 after it received positive reviews.

Personal Life: Green married Drew Barrymore, an actress, in July of 2000. They first met when Barrymore encouraged Green to star in and produce the film “Charlie’s Angels,” which she also produced. They married in July 2001, filed for divorce in December 2001, and their divorce was finalized in October 2002.
Tom purchased a property in Studio City, California for $1.475 million in 2003. In March 2021, he put this house on the market for $2.3 million.
