LimmerCoin Review: What Is The LimmerCoin Scam Trading App?

Last Updated on October 9, 2023 by Stephan Lindburg

Welcome to our LimmerCoin review. LimmerCoin is being advertised as a “sophisticated” trading platform which takes the guesswork out of investing. It is mentioned that the LimmerCoin app utilizes AI technology in order to power it’s trading engine. Well, forgive us for being a bit skeptic but we immediately noticed something fishy. For that reason we believe that this so-called “platform” is merely another scam. But impressions or suppositions are not enough. That’s why our management sent one of our more experienced researchers to sniff around and investigate. Low and behold, we managed to produce a smoking gun. The evidence we found is both overwhelming as well as definitive.

After conducting a full investigation of the LimmerCoin crypto trading robot, we can conclude without a shadow of doubt that it is a scam. Even more so, we have also found certain versions of the LimmerCoin software that have been tagged as “malicious” by McAfee antivirus. This means that McAfee found executable files that are designed to install viruses, or Trojan Horses on your computer or device in order to steal or misuse your personal or financial information.

LimmerCoin Broker Check: New members registering for this Fake app will find themselves enrolled with an unlicensed CFD or contracts for difference broker. CFD’s are highly volatile financial instruments that carry a significant amount of risk. However, the scammers are hiding this information and only point out the potential or perceived benefits.

When we registered the broker which was allocated to us was named “Fx Coins”. This broker has a registered business address in Sophia Bulgaria, a shady legal jurisdiction which has gained a well-deserved reputation for being associated with tax offenders and money launderers.

So if you have your mind set on joining this obvious get-rich-quick scheme, it’s highly recommended that you take a minute and read what our research staff has to say.

Official LimmerCoin Website, Login Page, and Members Area: We have already identified 4 (Four) websites claiming to be the “official” app. None of them are legitimate.

Scam Evidence

Well, here is what we refer to as the proverbial “smoking gun”. If you take a peek below you can see one version of the LimmerCoin scam trading app. Please take a minute and read the content, examine the layout, and look at the registration form.

LimmerCoin Website

Here we can very clearly see the same template which is currently being used for another scheme we exposed right here on ScamCryptoRobots.com. It’s fair to say that at least one affiliate network is using Limmercoin as a turnkey solution for marketing purposes. From this it can be inferred that the software is either non-existent or bogus. Either way you look at it the legitimacy of the Limmercoin app is questionable at best.

LimmerCoin Fake Testimonials

Our researchers identified one version of the LimmerCoin website which is really old or antiquated. That being said, scammers are still using it. If you check below you will see that all the testimonials are fabricated and presented in a very misleading or deceptive manner.

Fake Limmercoin Reviews

Limmercoin is being promoted by the Finixio network. Finixio is a well-known London based affiliate network and media agency. They specialize in promoting fake ads, gambling products, and fake food or medicinal supplements. A quick check reveals that they have been around for a long time and have a dirty reputation, something which is well-deserved.

LimmerCoin Fake News

We have recently seen a fake news article featuring Amazon Chairman Jeff Bezos. However, schemes such as LimmerCoin are also known to be associated with fake celebrity endorsements using big names like Tesla CEO Elon Musk, UK Journalist and blogger Martin Lewis, and many more.

LimmerCoin Fake News

It’s also quite common for these types of schemes to showcase fake advertorial-type ads that use TV shows like the Dragons’ Den, Shark Tank, and the Morning Show.

What Is LimmerCoin, Who Is Behind It, and How Does It Work?

LimmerCoin is marketed as cryptocurrency trading robot. It’s supposed to execute trades on auto-pilot without any need for human intervention. There is no mention anywhere of who the people behind it are. We have seen new sales funnels rolling out with a fake “about us” section. The images there are graphically distorted and the head-shots of the staff are not real.

LimmerCoin Review: Superior Trading App or Hoax?

First and foremost, Limmercoin does not qualify to be an app or software. There is no real algorithm which powers the system. Additionally, there is no dashboard, or signals that you receive to your mobile device or cellphone. Secondly, a few seconds after we registered a very rude and persistent sales person named Paul De Vim called us up claiming he was our “account manager”. Apparently “Paul” is not a real person. We were dealing with someone whose identity was kept hidden. As we shall find out, this is not without good reason.

It’s also worth mentioning that we noticed a type of software was downloading on our PC when we surfed the LimmerCoin website. Luckily our antivirus software blocked the download and advised us of a malware injection attempt. That being said, most customers are not savvy when it comes to these types of technical aspects. The scammers are well aware of this and are exploiting this fact to install all kinds of malware or spyware on their victims devices or pc’s.

Pro Tip: Having an SSL certificate does not guarantee your security. Make sure to use a trusted anti-virus software and inquire about firewall protocols.

Finally, about 3 days after joining we started receiving all sorts of spam offers sent to our email. Offers ranged from roulette systems to various Forex EA’s. The common denominator related to all these offers was that none of them arrived from a known or reputable vendor we signed up for previously. These offers were totally new and had nothing to do with what we were searching for or interested in.

If all of this isn’t enough to dissuade you from joining this fake app then keep reading our LimmerCoin review. We go to extreme measures in order to prove our point!

Our €250 Deposit Test

One of the first things we noticed after funding our account had to do with the fact that the account manager asked us to use one of the “in-house systems”. In fact, Paul was so adamant about us doing so that he actually told us that LimmerCoin was a scam. Yes, does this sound logical to you? Imagine registering for a service, investing money, and then having your account manager telling you that the service is a scam. We actually have this conversation documented, so if you want to hear that discussion drop us a line and we shall be more than happy to mail you the audio file.

Another thing that irritated us was the fact the Paul kept asking us to invest an additional €4,000. His excuse for making such a bold claim had to do with an idea he was trying to sell us. Specifically, Paul told us that €250 is “peanuts” and that if we wanted to “generate significant income” we had to invest more.

At a certain point Paul understood that we were not going to risk any additional funds before seeing some kind of return on investment. That’s when we were passed on to another account manager who basically told us that we had to put up an additional €2000 or our account would be frozen along with the funds we already invested. That was when we understood that our money was gone and we had best move on and continue with our lives.

Testing Procedures and  Review Methodology

Our research staff has an extensive check list which acts as a kind of grading mechanism. Our professional staff of researchers keeps updating our checklist in a way which is adapted to the crypto trading industry.

SummarySynthesis
Success RatioNo performance testing available.
BacktestingNo strategies are available.
Legal IssuesUnlicensed trading app.
Fake ClaimsA lot of fake and misleading claims.
Customer ServiceHorrible support

For example, if customers are more interested in regulatory aspects then more criteria related to patenting and certifications will be added.

Alternative Opinions Different Websites Offer

We have noticed the usual crowd of fake review websites endorsing the LimmerCoin scam. The Finixio network operating out of the United Kingdom is at it again and they are ruthless. Here are just a few excerpts taken from their websites.

  • LimmerCoin is a brand new trading app which provides a significant return on your investment. We highly recommend it.
  • No need to think twice, LimmerCoin is a winner so pull your wallet out and invest now!
  • This trading app is one of a kind! We recommend it so feel free to register and check it out for yourself.

Again, we would like to stress that these are not our opinions. We are simply letting you know what the scammers are saying so you can avoid it.

No Back Testing Or Strategies

LimmerCoin is not a legitimate trading app. New members registering for the app will quickly realize that there is no back testing or strategies of any kind that are made available for new members. For example, there are certain technical indicators like Parabolic SAR or Keltner Channel. These strategies are designed to trigger a stop-loss signal or reversal mechanism for example. However, LimmerCoin does not offer its members anything like that.

LimmerCoin Pros and Cons

Here you will find a small pros and cons box. We tried to compile the most important aspects related to the app based on our feedback from subscribers.

ProsCons

  • No Pros

  • Cloned App

  • No License

  • Rude Staff

If you feel that there are additional parameters which should be added please shoot us a message and we shall try to update the box.

Regulation And Patenting

LimmerCoin is neither patented nor certified in any legal jurisdiction. We checked with CySec, ASIC, BaFin, ConSob, and the CSA in Canada. We were not able to track any cereal number or certification code related to the app. We were not able to find any type of patenting information regarding this system.

PCI Compliance, ISO certification

We checked but were not able to find any kind of ISO certification related to software development. ISO or the International Organization for Standardization is the leading international entity which is viewed as the authority on standards and reliability of products or services. ISO for software development is coded as 12207. The app does not have an ISO seal, and any self-respecting developer should have one (it’s pretty basic).

PCI compliance has to do with how the financial transactions are processed and how the data is stored. The owners and promoters of LimmerCoin could not care less about your personal financial data. In fact, it’s in their interest to have as little safeguards in place as possible. That’s because they want to use that information in order to make repeat buys with your card without necessarily having your full consent. LimmerCoin does not have PCI compliance certification (big surprise).

Safety And Security

These hoodlums are not very big on security as well. It’s true that the HTTPS does have a padlock and a SHA-256 Fingerprint, but that can be said for 90% of the websites operating these days. When we checked the firewall settings we found more holes than Swiss cheese. Honestly, any amateur hacker who can deploy a brute force attack can take the LimmerCoin site down or at least significantly slow it down.

Leverage

New traders wanting to check out the LimmerCoin trading app will be offered leverage. Leverage is kind of like a loan, only instead of interest you have to pay the money back from your balance. However, if you lose you are still in required to settle up with the broker regardless of your balance. In many cases traders who choose to opt for a leveraged account end up paying more than their original investment.

Regulated Forex brokers will offer you a leverage of 50:1 to 100:1. LimmerCoin members are offered 5000:1, which should raise some serious eyebrows. That’s because the more you borrow the more you have to return and we have heard some really despairing stories about customers losing their life savings due to one bad decision.

Is LimmerCoin Compatible With The Coin Exchanges?

No, the LimmerCoin scam app is not compatible with any of the coin exchanges most people are familiar with like Gemini or Kraken. There are some websites who are trying to sell the idea that this system is supported by certain exchanges, but that is a lie. It is designed to provide the app with a sense of credibility, something which it obviously does not have.

Deposits And Withdrawals

We found it very easy to fund our account. The process was simple and we used our Visa card in order to do so. However, when we tried making a withdrawal everything went into silent mode. No one wanted to answer our emails. To make matters worse, we were even threatened and warned that if we don’t cancel our withdrawal and invest an additional amount of money our account would be frozen and we would be effectively locked out.

LimmerCoin On Trustpilot, Reddit, Sponsored Ads, and Other Forums

As is to be expected this get-rich-quick scheme is gaining much traction on the forums and social media. Scammers are using their marketing skills in order to push or peddle this fake app using fake profiles and a lot of deceptive content. In the end, they all want you to register using their campaign link so they could get their affiliate commissions.

Bonuses, Comps, And Perks

Nothing is free! Please don’t accept and type of bonus or free gift because there are a lot of strings attached to that bonus! We investigated this and the broker is attaching a trading requirement of 30 times the initial deposit plus the bonus. Here is the formula: €250 + (bonus amount)*30. The statistical chance of anyone being able to accrue funds and withdraw are ~ 0.000367. You have a better chance of winning the lottery so make sure to refrain from accepting any comps and document your request in writing.
