Introduction:

Speaking via video conference, Munda highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decade-long commitment to safeguarding and promoting Indian knowledge systems, traditions, and cultural values both nationally and internationally.

Emphasizing the Prime Minister’s vision, Munda stressed the collective responsibility to empower the Tribal Community for a self-reliant India.

The Union Ministry for Tribal Affairs has allocated Rs 10 crores for establishing the Centre in Jharkhand’s Kharsawan district, aimed at preserving the rich heritage of the tribal community.

The Centre will exhibit tribal culture and regional history, serving as a knowledge hub for tribal community development.

Future plans include making it a vibrant center for artisans to showcase their skills and a tourism attraction.

In a separate event, Munda also unveiled the renovated National Unique Tribal Museum, e-Library, and ST Girls’ hostel, funded by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sanghathan (BAJSS) in New Delhi.

Established in 1948 by Amritlal Vithaldas Thakkar, known as Thakkar Bapa, BAJSS aims to uplift tribal people.

Munda noted that the museum and library at BAJSS house rare artifacts and books, whose conservation is vital to prevent loss.

The Ministry allocated over Rs. 3 crores to revive the Tribal Museum at BAJSS Bhawan, alongside efforts to digitize the library for preserving rare books.

Additionally, interactive digital kiosks have been installed in the museum to provide diverse information.
