Breeding, cheetah selection strategies at focus in Project Cheetah’s 2nd year: Project head

Introduction:

Narendra Modi launch Project Cheetah: The second year focuses on breeding and cheetah selecting methods: The huge cats were imported from Namibia, and on September 17, Prime Minister released them into an enclosure at Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park to kick off Project Cheetah in India.

According to the leader of the reintroduction project, India intends to import cheetahs that do not grow thicker winter coats. As serious illnesses in some cheetahs and the death of 3 of them transport from Africa to India mostly caused by these diseases.

On September 17, 2016, Indian Prime Minister by releasing a group of big cats that transported from Namibia into a cage at Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park.

Sunday is the one-year anniversary of Project Cheetah. SP Yadav, Additional Director General of Forests at the Environment Ministry, emphasized in an interview with PTI. The project’s second year focused on reproducing these creatures.

No infections brought on by the radio collars that cheetahs require to wear. Authorities have chosen to swap out these collars for new ones made by the same South African company.
