National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has enabled ToneTag’s voice command technology to permit debits across all of the fuel stations owned by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL).
The prototype automobile on display at recently finished Global Fintech Fest created in collaboration with BPCL. Runs 18,620 petrol stations across the nation, and was based on the MG Hector vehicle. The corporation has not yet disclosed the launch date for this facility.
According to the World Bank, total value of UPI transactions in 2022–2023 was close to 50% of India’s nominal GDP.
