Raghee Horner is Managing Director of Futures Trading at Simpler Trading and has been trading her own account for over 30 years.
In her LinedIn profile, Horner describes herself as a Forex/Crypto Trader and Digital Asset Investor based in Hialeah, Florida. She has also been chief currency analyst for IBFX.
While at high school, Raghee Horner started taking an interest in the markets and began trading at 17. She remembers charting by hand on engineering graph paper while she was still at school. She went to college and graduated with a degree in English, and although she was planning to go to law school, she chose instead to start trading full time.
She advocates trying to stay relaxed while trading and avoiding the temptation to watch every pip.
“The charts allow me to relax because there are specific price points - I call them decision levels - that I need to react to. Outside of that, I am just waiting for my price, whether that is an entry, stoploss, or one of my profit targets.”
Raghee Horner has published a number of books on trading through Wiley & Sons, including Forex Trading For Maximum Profit (2004), 30 Days of Forex Trading (2006) and Forex on 5 Hours a Week (2009). She is currently working on a book about trading psychology.
A fan of technical analysis, she has developed a number of indicators, including the 34EMA Wave and GRaB Candles indicators, which are used by traders all over the world.
She encourages the traders she teaches to concentrate on their own methodology and not get distracted by others’ take on the market.

Horner primarily trades the currency and futures markets, using fundamental, technical and price action analysis, over a variety of timeframes. She prefers to follow the trend and enjoys exploring different approaches to trading psychology.
“Fear and greed rule the market but they also rule human beings as well. I don’t know anyone who can shut their emotions off. We actually would serve ourselves much better by working with our natural makeup.”
She enjoys teaching traders and encourages them to find a style of trading that suits their personality.
Outside of trading, Raghee Horner enjoys diving, swimming, kickboxing, fishing, golf and motorcycles.
