‘Pran Prathistha’ ceremony at Ram Temple: These five states have designated January 22 to be a holiday

All central government offices will be closed for thirty minutes to honour the ‘pran prathishtha’ event at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, according to Union Minister Jitendra Singh.
On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lead the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple located in Ayodhya. Several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana, have declared January 22 to be a public holiday in anticipation of the upcoming “pran prathishtha” event. The Trust is putting together elaborate plans to honor the occasion, and the ceremony is expected to be a lavish event attended by VVIPs.

The main ceremonies of the Pran Pratistha of Shri Ram Lalla will be conducted by a group of priests, among them the well-known Lakshmikant Dixit.

For the event, the state of Uttar Pradesh has proclaimed a holiday for educational institutions, and all liquor stores would be closed that day.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh has proclaimed the day a festival and ordered schools to be closed. Every store in the state, including those selling alcohol and cannabis, will be closed on this “dry day.”

Observing the ‘pran pratishtha’ event on January 22, Goa, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana have also joined in, with government workers and schools enjoying a holiday.

Pramod Sawant, Goa’s chief minister, approved the public holiday for government employees and educational institutions.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai of Chhattisgarh declared a holiday for all state-run universities and schools.

Apart from closing schools, Haryana has made it illegal for anybody to drink alcohol anywhere in the state on the day of the consecration event.

To mark the event, Union Minister Jitendra Singh declared that all central government offices would be closed for 30 minutes.

Within the temple complex’s sanctum sanctorum stands the idol of Lord Ram.At On January 22, the ‘pran prathistha’ ritual is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. On January 16, the pre-rituals got underway.
