GAVS Technologies: Facilitating AI-led Managed Services

Reliability of Business-critical applications is paramount for most businesses in this age. The COVID outbreak has also accelerated the demand for remote managed services and has pushed the industry to adopt new ways to deliver, maintain and manage the  applications. The IT Operations management services market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 10% for the next five years.

CIOs and business leaders proactively seek new, efficient methods and adopt responsive systems and processes to bridge the gap between operations and business. With that said, Social, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud, IoT, and Cognitive Computing have become the new business imperatives.

Businesses  adopt these digital technologies to build new and innovative business models, reduce time-to-market, optimize business processes, empower their workforce, and personalize the customer experience. Aligning IT to the business is key to success for an organization that is on the digital journey. One company that is helping organizations along their Digital Transformation journey is GAVS Technologies (GAVS).

“Anything that needs to be done a second time needs to be automated. Let’s not waste human efforts in doing repeated SOP-based activities”

It is a global Digital Transformation enabler with a focus on AI-led Managed Services.  GAVS’ AIOps platform, Zero Incident FrameworkTM (ZIFTM), enables proactive detection and remediation of outages and increases reliability of services, helping organizations drive towards a Zero Incident EnterpriseTM.  ZIFTM, an on-premises and SaaS solution, enables IT to deliver the least interruptions to their business applications with end-to-end visibility on the assets, utilization and performance.

Streamlining IT Operations

GAVS has transformed IT delivery in enterprises through ZIFTM discovery, monitoring, analyzing, predicting, and remediating capabilities, to optimize IT infrastructure utilization and maximize their performance. “We are committed to  improve  our customers’ IT operations through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and provide meaningful and actionable insights  to reduce outages, enhance user experience, and improve business”, says the team at GAVS.

The company offers focused services in the areas of AI-led IT Operations, Information security operations and Practices, Digital Transformation, Product Engineering, Cloud migration, Analytics, and Quality Assurance and has customers from Healthcare, BFSI, Manufacturing, Media, and Service Providers.

  • ZIFTM: An AIOps platform that enables proactive detection and remediation of incidents helping organizations drive towards a Zero Incident Enterprise. It has five modules – Discovery, Monitor, Analyze, Predict and Remediate to deliver what they call “auto-detect and auto-correct”. These five modules enable the platform to function and deliver independently. USPTO has granted it a patent for the algorithm that is written for predicting outages.
  • Value-added foundational elements of ZIFTM:
    • Integration with any tools generating data in any format
    • Agentless & Non-intrusive approach,
    • Ease of Deployment
    • Dynamic UI
    • Scalable Architecture.
  • ZIFTM delivers –
    • Unified View of all alerts/events/logs
    • >50% reduction of incidents
    • >50% reduction in MTTR
    • >80% reduction in noise
    • >50% ticket automation
    • >50% reduction in IT operations cost

GAVS Dynamics

A CIO at a hospital would like to measure and improve the productivity of their employees by making the systems perform reliably all the time. A CXO of a Telecom company would like to increase the customer base by making the service more reliable. All organizations would like to measure and improve the satisfaction of their end-customers. GAVS helps the CXOs in these endeavors.

“We at GAVS, want all the IT Managers, CTOs, and CIOs to sleep peacefully and spend their weekends with their families happily by keeping the business-critical applications running without interruptions, using our AIOps platform ZIFTM”, shares the GAVS team. Through detection of brewing incidents at a very early stage and remediating those potential incidents in time, it is possible to prevent outages. The technique of ‘early detection’ is based on the domain (IT infrastructure) knowledge and the powerful AI programs written with the guidance from IIT Madras.

Steering the Ship Forward

S Chandra Mouleswaran, SVP – IT Infrastructure Management Practice at GAVS Technologies, is a passionate lateral thinker. He has 30+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations and practices, primarily in the IT/ITES sector. He started his career as an electronics engineer repairing battery chargers.

That experience took him to repair power supplies of computers in a construction company during the early stages of IT evolution in 1990s. It made him repair computers, assemble computers, set up networks, learn OS, and become part of Infrastructure design and management. “That is how, I was driven towards IT infra management,” says Chandra.

He then worked as a Network engineer, then a system integrator, before becoming a CXO in 2000. Some of his notable attempted innovations include Automated Pressure tester in the early 80s, battery operated power supplies for computers, DRAM-based Unix file systems, locally cached data for VSAT communication to reduce latency, Software Vending Machine, MobileDesk, Advanced Command Interface – a mistake-proofing application (Patented) and Zero Incident FrameworkTM.

Since he entered this field in 1990, everything Chandra did or was required to do was for the first time. Thanks to the opportunities, he was part of many firsts – first to install TCP/IP for Network communications, first to deploy VSATS for WAN communications, etc. “There were no SOPs for many things. There were no WANs, but we had to support remote sites – Kevadia in Gujarat, Rewa in MP, Chamera in HP, Lakhwar in Uttarakhand,” shares Chandra. “There were no skilled IT engineers at remote sites to help troubleshoot and expedite resolution. Around the late 90s, network bandwidth was a challenge. Even audio conferences used to have troubles. There were no standards or benchmarks for anything”, added Chandra.
