Valencia trip!

I took a trip to Valencia there is an excellent flight connection from Belgium.

I booked about 2 weeks in advance which made it hard to find a hotel. I ended up renting a studio for 4 nights for about 300 EUR.

Valencia is the 3rd biggest city of Spain and has quite a lot to offer. The historical center is full of little restaurants, but what I liked much more is the park belt around the city and the artificial lake they created there (see the photos bellow).

Even when its over 30 degrees this area seems to be cool so is perfect to relax.

Another area I liked is the harbours. I took a Catamaran ride there that set me back 15 EUR. My mistake for booking on Getyourguide, if I had booked it directly I would have only paid 9 EUR!

All in all this city is def worth a visit, I would probably try to avoid the hottest part of the summer when going and preferably even going in Spring our Autumn, unless you actually go to sit on the beach all day but then there will be cheaper places then this.

New bathroom!

My old Bathroom was about 50 years old. As you can see the pipes were not hidden, the pipes were pretty rusty, and there was a minor fungus problem that occured in winter occasionally. Additionally the bathroom furniture such as the toilet were pretty much in no condition to keep.

Eventually I made the decission to refresh the whole bathroom. This included a shower instead of a bath. I almost never used my bath and it also caused the whole bathroom to be covered in steam. I dont even have one drop of steam now on my mirror when I shower!

June in the stockmarket

Last month I had almost given up hope for my dividend Portfolio but this month it made a huge comback and went up almost 8%!

My Portfolio

My Portfolio has increased to 312174 EUR (+24655). I invested 15000 EUR extra that came from my cash accounts and the stock market also happened to go up almost 10000 EUR the same month. This totally offset the costs of my new bathroom.

I can conclude that after a bad 2022 my portfolio has returned to growth in 2023.

ETFs

The core of my long term strategy is ETF‘s. My ETFs have a YTD gain of 17612, proving once again that they are a VERY effective strategy!

Dividend-Value Portfolio

My dividend-value Portfolio WENT UP 8% outperforming ALL Indexes

A lot was driven by ATS who had a VERY good month after one Analyst set a price target 200% higher.

Trades:

• Bought more ATS after reading some excellent comments of an Analyst who knows the semi & circuit board very well
• Added over 1000 Halyk bank stock shares after they had excellent earnings and tripled their dividend.
• Bought Care property Invest as the share remains at all time lows with an 8% dividend and only a 15% tax

Growth Portfolio

If Im being honest I have often considered to sell $ANIC just so I dont need to keep looking at that red. But I will hold on for now.

Crypto

I am HODLing all coins I get from cash back for now and was able to already collect 9945 coins.

Real Estate

I currently owe one apartment that I purchased in 2010 for 136.000. I got it re-estimated in 2020 at it was valued at 185.000 EUR. I did a re-evaluation of my apartment that values it at 205000 EUR.

Startups

Got some positive news from TwinnTax this month! As its 25% of my startups I am quite happy about it.

Right now I have 1200 EUR still active in startups. I would like to sell this as quickly as possible.

I am using Spreds to purchase these startups.

I get an update just once a year, so I will update it also just once a year. This is from end of 2022. I will update it again in December 2023.
