First of all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you!
Some highlights of 2021:

• What a year, my Net Worth increased Year Over Year from 488.484 to 582.167 or an increase of 93.683!
• The compound interest of my stock portfolio was 35.721 EUR, enough to cover 148% of my expenses! Most of these were from May-December.
• Mainly my indexes performed well, my small cap stocks and crypto performed slightly less

December started very poorly with a massive drop the first days. But somewhere mid-December large caps started to recover, pulling my Portfolio back up. I can say that we really did see the Santa rally I was hoping for.

January is a fun month, I will go over the goals I had set in 2021, set new goals for 2022, and also take a look at what I spend in all of 2021! Of course I will be creating blogs of all of this.

Now lets find out how my portfolio did this month and what changes I made.

My Portfolio

My Portfolio has increased to 259498 EUR (+11399), thanks to some extra investments (about 3300 EUR), but mainly thanks to a nice Santa rally the last 2 weeks of the year!

ETFs

The core of my long term strategy is ETF‘s.

I have sold my Emerging market ETF. I am still invested in the emerging markets trough my ACWI ETF. I just felt there was better opportunities elsewhere. I moved most of this money to Agronomics.

Cultured meat / Agro-Tech Portfolio

I have strongly increased my position in Agronomics this month and a little bit in Meatech. I consider my Meatech Position large enough for now and will not add further.

I also added a new stock called AppHarvest. AppHarvest is investing into Automated-Farms allowing them to use less water and less manpower, giving them a very competitive edge to classical farms. I did put a stop loss at 3.7$ and since the stock is nearing this price I am worried I will exit soon, but let’s see where it goes!

Crypto

$CRO.X dropped slightly compared to next month, which was expected considering it had a major bull run in November. I hope the price will now stabilize and the next bull run will come somewhere the next months. I do get 10% p/a tokens extra from my staking, so slowly but certain my costs of this coin are dropping. In 5 years I will have more then 50% more coins.

Real Estate

I currently owe one apartment that I purchased in 2010 for 136.000. I got it re-estimated in 2020 at it was valued at 185.000 EUR. I did a re-evaluation of my apartment that values it at 199245 EUR. It is both related to a general rise in apartment prices of 6-7% and the value of apartments in my region. This contributed over half to the increase of my Net Worth.

I fully paid of the mortgage on this apartment. It feels much more free then before!

Startups

No updates about my startups this month. No news is often good news. My plan is to slowly lower this portfolio, but of course its very illiquid.

Right now I have 2200 EUR still active in startups.

I am using Spreds to purchase these startups.

Peer to Peer

I am left with only 4 peer to peer investments left, 3 I have considered to be in default. I have not defaulted on Mintos yet as there is a payment plan to get back the money in the next 2-3 years

Nothing new on CrowdEstor. I am just waiting for what will happen with my last 100 EUR investment there. I have already defaulted this investment in my portfolio.

I expect to get some really good news in Q1 about Kuetzal.

Retirement funds

I get an update just once a year, so I will update it also just once a year. This is from end of 2021. I will update it again in December 2022.

Savings

This was last updated on 31-12-2021.

My savings went down with about 13k since end of April, which is fine, I want to lower this amount and have more invested. A conservative target for this amount would be about 50k or 2 years of expenses.

I just update this twice a year, namely in June and December, as I don’t think its very spectacular to write about my savings here.

Unless something big happens of course, such as a real estate purchase.
