On May 30th, Justin Sun, the founder of TRON announced on his Twitter page about Tron’s official mainnet launch that is scheduled for the 31st of May, named Odyssey 2.0. The mainnet launch is supposed to undergo severe testing schedules from May 31st– June 24th; meanwhile, the community shall seek independence.

Odyssey 2.0 is a secure and reliable milestone in the history of blockchain technology. TRON’s core development team now has a global community of 2000 commits, merged over 500 forks, covering 384 unit tests. The developers of Odyssey 2.0 have built over 15 TRON blockchain explorers and 102 new features including wallet apps on their testnet.

The major differences between events taking place on the 31st of May and that of June 25th lie on the technicality of the developers and how the TRON community as a whole prepare themselves for the “lift-off”. Currently, the TRON community has more than one million supporters, including more than 19 exchanges, namely Bitbns, Bit-Z, Binance, Bithumb, Bitpie, and Bitfinex among the major cryptocurrency exchanges.

Users are required to download and sync their system with Odyssey 2.0. The guidelines following this version of the mainnet will be announced on TRON’s official website. Participants including blockchain explorers and dApp developers need to configure their systems to Odyssey 2.0. Justin Sun referred to the strategic conference, as “A CALL FOR INDEPENDENCE”, prepared to launch at 11 AM UTC+8, May 31st, 2018.

They have successfully created a platform for stringent stress testing and DDoS testing that will enhance TRON’s protocol availability and stability. Justin Sun tweeted this morning confirming:

Project Genesis will mark the official launch of the independent TRON protocol only after June 24th. According to reports, the token migration scheduled for the latter half of June does not require users to conduct the migration process on 31st May. After June 25th, the crypto-exchanges will be responsible for the transfer of tokens.
