EEO-1 pay data reporting officially revived, May 31 deadline still in effect

It’s official. On April 25, 2019, a federal judge ordered the Eeoc to collect and report pay data from employees’ W-2s broken down by race, sex and ethnicity by Sept. 30. The EEOC is requesting two years’ worth of data. The specific years are still being considered by the EEOC. The agency has until May 3 to notify the court of its choice.

Employers should keep in mind that the current demographic data collected still has a May 31 Deadline. Employers who previously requested an extension were granted an additional 30 days. This has been reduced to only two weeks.
