The Muny Opera has another great show that has started this week.  Have you heard of the Wiz? The story line is similar to the Wizard of Oz.

A friend of mine, Jennifer and her son were able to attend the show for me.  First it was a wonder they made it to the show with the rain.  Luckily the rain stopped, and they were able to see the show.  Jennifer and her son loved the performance of the Wiz.  Her son, Aiden’s favorite character was The Wiz because he was so animated and his costumes were great. Jennifer loved Demetria McKinney as Glinda/Aunt Em.  Her voice was amazing.  And the Glinda costumes and entrance were quite impressive.  Even the show starts, late you don’t even notice due to it being so entertaining.  The sets were great and the performers were funny.

If you have seen the Wiz or even the Wizard of Oz, take some out this week to check out this great show from the Muny.  What a great show to add to the 100th birthday line of shows this summer.

Don’t forget there is free seats to enjoy any show as well.  The Wiz will be there from June 19-25.
