Saving Money Tip – Your Gas Bill is Down – what to do with it.

Even people that don’t drive a lot know that the price at the pump has gone way down over the past months.

A Side Note – with Iran’s Sanctions gone now, this will cause another increase in supply (they need cash) so that will cause Gas Prices to decline.

Here is a suggestion for you. Take the Money that you would have been spending on gas and put it in the bank. Just like everything gas prices will not stay down forever. So if you used to spend $100 a week on gas and now you spend $60 – then put $40 of it in the bank. By the end of the year you’ll have $40 x 52 = $2080. Or you can add the excess $160 / month and put it on the credit card / loan that you’re paying off.

Don’t know what I’m talking about – make sure that you check out the article we wrote about paying off your debts here.

Just don’t spend the money that you’re Saving gas on things that you don’t really need. Many times we do that, and you could be missing out on some serious savings.

Enjoy your week – its finally winter time here and this weekend we might have a foot of snow (or more).
