The Ben Nye luxury Powders are one of the most discussed and controversial products and I decide to way up the pros and cons of the banana powder which I have been using for a while now. This product is used by women of a range of Skin tones and colours and as a black girl with a lighter skin tone the powder works well when setting my concealer that I use to highlight.
However, this is not the case for everyone, especially women of a Darker Skin Tone and there are several alternative shades of the powder which you can use. For women of a darker skin tone, I would suggest the use of the colour Topaz which can be brought online on websites such as eBay. So now to the nitty gritty:
THE PROS:
- The product reduces redness and creates a flawless airbrushed look and it does this without clogging up you’re pores. This is good for those with oily skin who want to achieve the matte look.
- It doesn't smell. This may sound really weird but I do not like the smell of some make up products and it can be really off putting for me but this product didn't have a pungent smell which I was happy about.
- It’s well-priced for the amount you get and it last super long which makes it a beneficial investments for those who do not like spending so much on makeup.
THE CONS:
- The packaging is kind of awkward and can make a bit of a mess when I’m doing my makeup.
- It’s not the best for sensitive skin. I did notice a few spots when I first started using it, so I would not recommend it for those of you severely sensitive skin or are prone to rashes.
