The theme for the Met Ball was "Heavenly Bodies,"as it reflected the costume institute's newest exhibition.  Actress and singer Selena Gomez glowed in a lace-trimmed ruffled gown by Coach. In the above pictures she's with Stuart Vevers, the brand's executive creative director. As you may know, Gomez has worked with the brand on capsule collections. For the ball, Gomez worked with stylist Kate Young on her look. Young previewed it on her Insta page.

Wowza! Look at that train! Her gown was created with vintage cream silk gauze. She wore Coach gunmetal heels and carried a Kisslock bag.

For makeup, Gomez worked with Kiehl’s consulting celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo to create a luminous glow. Here's exactly how Hung created her look. Follow his instructions so you can redo this look at home.

“To start, I cleansed Selena's skin with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser, then exfoliated the skin with Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Energizing Scrub. I rinsed well, towel dried, and then give the skin an extra glow boost by using Kiehl’s Instant Renewal Concentrate Sheet Mask for 10 minutes. After this I applied Kiehl’s Ultra Facial TonerSuper Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening SerumUltra Facial Cream, and Lip Balm #1."

"After prepping with skincare, I applied a little bit of Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Primer, then Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless Foundation in ‘Y320.’ I added luminosity to the skin by blending Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter on top of the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, and on the cupid's bow. I followed with a little Marc Jacobs Beauty Remedy Concealer Pen in ‘Wake-Up Call’ under the eyes, and Marc Jacobs Beauty Re(Marc)able Concealer in ‘Young’ wherever a bit of extra coverage was needed. To set, I used Marc Jacobs BeautyFinish Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder through the t-zone. I then dusted the high points of the face with Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Bronzer in ‘Tantric’ and added a swirl of Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush in ‘Line & Last Night’ to the apples of the cheeks and temples."

"For the eyes, I used Marc Jacobs Beauty New Glam Glitter Eye Gel Crayon in ‘Glitz Alright’ to trace the eye shape and buffed the color out. Then I swiped a wash of the Marc Jacobs Beauty New Glam Glitter Eyeshadow in ‘Gleam Girl’ over the brown bone and on top of the highliner I placed under the eyes. For the creases, I mixed Junky Stone Glitters with Dew Drops to create the wet glistening eyes. The lashes were thickened and defined with a coat of Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Mascara on top, and just slightly on the bottom with Marc Jacobs Beauty Feather Noir Ultraskinny Mascara."

"I filled in the brows with Marc Jacobs Beauty Brow Wow Pencil in ‘Medium Brown,’ and brushed them up and out with Marc Jacobs Beauty Brow Tamer Gel."

"For lips, we wanted to keep the lip super nude, so I used Marc Jacobs Beauty Sugar and Spice lip liner and Marc Jacobs Beauty Moody Margo sheer gel lipstick. For a glow on the body, I used Dew Drops Coconut Highlighter in ‘Fantasy’ all over. A quick spritz of Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Setting Mist on the way out the door, and she's good to go!”
