What Were The Best Celeb Halloween Costumes Of 2016?

With vast resources at their disposal, celebs are pretty good at finding stylish Halloween costumes. The spookiest night of the year has come and gone once again and some famous people really went all out this time around. LUXE Models asks: what were the best celebrity Halloween costumes of 2016?

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum has a reputation for dreaming up very creative Halloween costumes. Over the years, she has been a Hindu goddess, an extremely convincing old lady and Jessica Rabbit. Taking it further, this year Heidi Klum turned up to her annual Halloween party with five clones. The stunt, which supposedly cost $10m, saw the clones rock Heidi-prosthetics, along with matching costumes, hair and make-up.

The Timberlakes

Any celebrity who’s looking for a lesson in product marketing, should turn to Justin Timberlake, his wife Jessica Biel and their young son Silas. Clearly promoting Justin’s new animated film Trolls, the family dressed as characters Poppy, Branch and Little Branch this year. From Justin and Silas’ matching waistcoat and shorts ensembles to Jessica’s cute Trolls-inspired A-line dress, this family worked it!

Chanel Iman

If Mean Girls taught us anything, it’s that doing sexy on Halloween is hard. But beautiful model Chanel Iman managed to do it with style this year, donning an outfit the Daily Mail deemed “the right balance between sexy and creepy.” Chanel spent Halloween in a mummy-inspired boob-tube, skirt combo, topping off the look with contacts with made her eyes look white and a bandage-wrapped pony.

Katy Perry

‘Teenage Dream’ hit maker Katy Perry chose a topical costume, dressing as Hillary Clinton. Inspired by the US election, a lot of people chose Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump outfits this year, so what made Katy’s different? She spent hours transforming herself into the former US Secretary of State, with prosthetics, an on-point wig and an orange ensemble that screamed Hillary!

Beyoncé

If anyone gets an A for effort, it’s Beyoncé, as she wore two costumes. Queen Bey started by dressing as the classic ‘80s R&B girl group Salt ‘n Pepa with mum Tina and daughter Blue Ivy. Beyoncé followed this by working a couples costume with husband Jay Z. They were Black Barbie and Black Ken, winning praise for their attention to detail, which saw the pair come complete with their own plastic cases.

Getting imaginative

This year’s slate of best dressed celebrities have one thing in common. They got imaginative for Halloween 2016, pushing the bar higher than ever before. When Halloween 2017 rolls around, use these innovative costumes as inspiration, so you look fabulous on the scariest night of the year!
