It hasn’t been long after the end of another fashion week, where the main trends of Fall/Winter 2016-2017 have been revealed. It won’t be long until summer collections are overtaken by the fall ones, and the replications of key haute couture pieces will be made by mass market and its high street parts. Whether you prefer high end, high street, or mass-market, it is always good to know what trends will be discarded as failed ones reght after the season’s end.

1. Checkered suit
Check print is usually discarded as something old-fashioned, stuck in the 50′s for the eternity. However, Balenciaga, Michael Kors, and other key brands favoured it for the following season. Whilst the runway looks may give out preppy vibes, the reality does not always follow the expectations: as check, especially grey, usually connotates the sense of old, the look can give the same impression on the person who wears it, even if such look was done with a sense of irony.
If you still wish to use check’s appearance on the catwalk beneficially, it is better for only one part of your look to be with this print (not the hat, of course). This way, you can add new senses to your look without losing everything checkered print brings with it.

2. Leopard print
To go straightforward on it: leopard print is usually associated with being vulgar. Although mindsets are changing in the fashion world, leopard coats are better left for glamorous parties, sprinkled with glitter.
3. Padded coats
Yes, they can actually be helpful if you are living in a freezing, harsh place, and fashion is the last thing on your mind when you get out of the house on a freezing fall morning. However, outside of these circumstances and skiing resort, pick up something that does not resemble your granny’s old flowery couch.
