He used various techniques like gota patti, applique, tie and dye, mirror work, Meenakari, Chikankari on rich, opulent fabrics like luxurious silk brocades, rich velvets, sheer tissues etc for his collection. Whether it was brocades from the banks of Banaras or Jamawars from the valleys of Kashmir every garment was a beautiful example of the rich cultural heritage of India.
You could see the influences of Badla work, Chikankari, Zardosi, Parsi etc. in the garments which used motifs such as the Gods and Goddesses of India. The use of miniature painting in the garment from the Mughal era as well as Patolas and Paithanis stood out amongst them all.
