Five looks for that winter weather

  1. Layer it up

One great way to stay ‘hot to trot’ this Winter, is to pile on everything you own, yet with this craze comes the fright of looking like a homeless Eskimo. Layering is a key look that will certainly keep you all wrapped-up warm when the thermometer drops! Let’s start with a basic jumper: pop a quick top underneath-  voilà – you’ve successfully created your first layer. Now to generate a more elaborate and sophisticated style, recently displayed by celebrities such as Elle Macpherson and Gwen Stefani, throw in a dash of colour or an intricate pattern to spice up your outfit.

  1. Fun, Fur n’ Fluff

This winter it’s all about textures and another way to keep snuggly and stylish in the snowy season is to throw on some faux fur – anything will do. There is no better way to feel cosy than in a good furry coat so bundle up and hit the town.

  1. Turtleneck Time

By the time winter comes, most of us are ready to put those summer clothes back in the wardrobe for another six months, and start pulling out the oversized jumpers and fluffy socks, but what if I said that you can mix the two? Go for a thinner turtleneck jumper under a chilled summer dress for the perfect smart casual look of the season. Or simply opt for a fluffy roll neck with jeans and those favourite Adidas superstars, and you’re all set.

  1. Life’s better with a Beanie

Beanies are a perfect way to finish off an outfit, and keep those ears tucked away from the frosty air. Ranging from Aztec patterns to slogans and bright colours, there is a beanie for everyone. Whether you go for a fitted look, one pom pom, or two, there is no better way to complete your look – especially when you’re having a bad hair day!

  1. Beautiful Boots

Chelsea, knee high or biker – this season it’s all about the boots. Over the knee and thigh high boots are the ultimate way to gain fashion points for winter – the bigger the better. Pair with some jeans and a ribbed jumper for a high street look, or tights and a swing dress to channel your inner boho-chic. For something more easy to wear, grab yourself a pair of Chelsea boots. Match them with virtually anything and smarten up your outfit in a second.
