Emma Watson has revealed the one rule she always follows when it comes to choosing her outfits. So the Luxe Models team asks; how can you dress like Emma Watson?

She’s come a long way. Emma Watson originally rose to fame playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films. Ever since the franchise ended, however, she’s really grown into her own. She’s worked on a number of exciting projects including The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Noah and Regression. She’s also become a UN women goodwill ambassador. The actress famously gave a speech at the UN to launch the HeForShe campaign, which is designed to call out men for failing to promote feminist ideals.

Furthermore, she’s also become something of a fashion icon. Watson has left Hermione Granger’s simple wardrobe far behind her, and these days she’s known for rocking simple, elegant, distinctly feminine pieces. She manages to combine glamour and professionalism with every outfit she wears.

Rule to live by

Popsugar recently reported that the actress was chosen to front the cover of Porter magazine for their ‘incredible women’ issue. She took this as an opportunity to reveal the one rule she lives by when it comes to choosing her outfits; wear what’s comfortable!

Watson said: “When I was younger I remember being told ‘no pain no gain,’ but recently my willingness to wear something that makes me freezing cold or that I can’t walk in has changed. I want to feel fabulous and comfortable and sexy and strong and beautiful. And if it’s making you uncomfortable, don’t do it. It’s so sad if you need to go home just because you need to sit down! Moving forward, I’m prioritising just feeling awesome.”

She also argued that there are strong ties between fashion and feminism. The actress commented: “I think using fashion as a means of expression is brilliant. One of the ways I became a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador was through my interest in fair-trade fashion. Because so many women design and make the clothes we wear, it’s primarily the working conditions of women that are affected by the decisions we make, so fashion is a feminist issue.”

Embrace your inner confidence

We didn’t think it was possible, but we’ve fallen in love with Emma Watson all over again. She used this interview to basically say that you should wear what makes you feel amazing, and we couldn’t agree more. If you can walk in a pair of six inches stilettos, then by all means go for it. But if you have trouble walking in heels, go for flats instead. If you feel confident you’ll look confident. If you look confident you can pull off whatever style you like!
