I believe I first noticed this particular icon when I saw The Seventh Sign as a child. Of course Demi’s list of appearances has expanded quite a bit since then, but still the aforementioned movie had a major impact on me. Her charitable activities mostly center on the fight against child exploitation (which is by any measure a noble war effort against this brutal crime against humanity) & she is a co-founder of the Demi & Ashton Foundation, later it was renamed Thorn. On a lighter note New York Times has dubbed her the most high profile doll collector & at one point she even had a separate residence to house her ginormous collection.
