5 New TV Shows You Can’t Miss This Fall 2014

When the weather starts to turn colder, and you start spending more time indoors, you will probably find yourself scouring the channels for the best new TV shows.  We’ve rounded up the best new TV shows that have debuted in recent years that you may not have heard of.  You may have to catch up on a season or two, but the binge-Watching won’t go any further than that! There is something so nice about coming home from work and looking forward to watching a show with your significant other.  One that you have to watch at a certain time each night; one that your significant other can’t sneak behind your back and watch before you.

Don’t get us wrong- we also appreciate a series that can be binge-watched in 3 weeks.  But not everyone has time for that! So here are our picks for the hottest new TV shows for fall/winter 2014.

New TV shows

Comedy

 A to Z  (2014) produced by Rashida Jones and Will McCormick, starring How I Met Your Mother’s Cristin Milotti and Mad Men’s Ben Feldmen.  This will be a romantic Comedy series set in an online dating company that deals with the A-Z’s of relationships, dating, sex, and love.  The star-studded cast and directing crew are a guarantee that this show will be a light, airy comedy worth watching after a hard day at work!

 

Black-ish (2014) is the Story of a black family growing up in a predominately white suburban community.  Starring Anthony Anderson and Tracy Ellis Ross, this show is set to premier in September, 2014.

Bates Motel (2013) 

Drama

Rectify (2014) Produced by the same people who brought us Breaking Bad (!!!), Rectify is the story of Daniel Holden, a man who has spent the last 19 years of his life in prison for a murder.  Based on DNA evidence, his conviction is overturned and he is released into a world that is much different then the one he left 19 years ago.  It is about how one man deals with life outside of prison walls after serving 19 years within them, he is released with no smooth transition and is literally thrown into a world he doesn’t understand.  Starring Aden Young as the handsome Daniel Holden.

Orphan Black (2013) (DESTINATION FEMME FAVOURITE) The trippy story of a street-smart girl, Sarah, who is unwittingly pulled into a conspiracy after witnessing the suicide of a girl who looked just like her.  She decides to assume the identity of the women in hopes of solving all her problems, but what she finds out shocks and confuses her, and makes her fight for her life. Starring Tatiana Maslany as Sarah & many other characters.
