Why You Shouldn’t Mourn Over A Breakup

We understand how heartbreaking breakups can be sometimes… But that doesn’t mean you should cry a river over it. It doesn’t matter if he just broke up with you or you broke up with him, life is too short to be feeling sorry for yourself. Here are 7 reasons why you shouldn’t Mourn over a breakup:

1. You’re single and ready to mingle.

What’s better than being single is being single and ready to mingle. Put on those 6 inch heels and finally make that girls’ night out trip you’ve been planning for the past year. Just don’t come off as being too desperate.

2. He’s eventually going to miss you and regret it.

People tell you this but you don’t believe it until it happens, but it does happen. You may think he looks like he’s having the most bomb-diggity time of his life right now (at least from what you can see from Facebook) but it will end up like this:

3. Your real friends will be there for you.

You probably haven’t talked to your best friend in weeks, not to mention your other friends. But if they’re truly your friends, they will still be there for you no matter what. Time to regain those friends and catch up on all the latest gossip again.

4. You will get to learn how to be independent.

You will miss those free dinners and getting driven everywhere, but girl you gotta be independent! You will not longer be spoiled, and you will like it. Being independent can help you in both your working relationships and your personal ones. Like Destiny’s Child says “If you’re gonna brag make sure it’s your money you flaunt, depend on no one else to give you what you want”.

5. He wasn’t the right person for you.

We don’t believe in things that are “meant to be”, but if you guys ended then there must have been a reason. Even if it was a stupid reason, it was still a reason. If you didn’t break up then the only other option is marrying him… and are you really that confident he’s “the one”?

6. You’ll feel stupid months from now after going back to all the sad songs you downloaded.

Months later, you will look back and regret downloading every Adele song you could find. And if your friend ever gets a site on your playlist, they will definitely judge you.

7. Life will move on.

It gets better. Things may not look so beautiful right now but eventually you will get over him and you’ll be glad you did. Time doesn’t wait for you to move on, so why are you choosing to wait yours on one fish in the sea? Get out there, have fun, and enjoy your life while you still can.

I don’t think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains.
