WMCFW S/S 2015: RUDSAK

RUDSAK completely swept the shows by closing out the fourth day of Wmcfw S/S 2015. Their Collection was different from the rests as it didn’t utilize the typical spring palette of pastels and brights and opted instead for some camo and metallics. We did see the popular mesh trend throughout their designs as well as lots of lace detailing. Some of the designs even utilized lace as appliques over top of the mesh, combining the two fabrics to create a strong look.

RUDSAK’s S/S 2015 Collection

The base palette of the collection was mostly black and white, but scattered throughout was red (as well as a red based camo print) as well as chevron stripes. Overall, the colors worked well to create a statement collection where each piece itself was bold.

The designs had a raw and Edgy feel to them, and some verged a little bit on the sporty chic side as well when mesh was incorporated. Besides designing apparel, RUDSAK is also known for their handbags. Many of the looks were accompanied by knapsacks, proving that the trend will still be going strong in the seasons to come. We also noticed a couple fanny packs in the line-up – is there going to be a resurgence of them in the next few seasons?

Leather was abound throughout the collection (an obvious for RUDSAK), which added dimension through its sheen. It gave the delicate fabrics (mesh and lace) a nice edgy twist and combined the best of both worlds (feminine and aggressive).

Towards the end of the show, we saw many looks that were unisex (no we’re not suggesting that you share clothes with your S/O) and available for both genders. This included the metallic jackets, moto jackets as well as the chevron sweater. So if you’re down to get edgy instead of being a pastel princess, defintitely check out what RUDSAK has to offer this coming spring.

Would you wear that all camo jacket?
