Get this down in your Smythson diary post haste: the 2016 Concours of Elegance at Windsor Castle this September will be the biggest, most diverse and snazziest edition of the legendary event yet. Thanks to Her Maj, aka the Queen of England, who celebrates her 90th birthday this year and wants to see lots of shiny cars at her country house. Nearly a thousand of them will congregate on the stately grounds over the course of the Windsor weekend. Sixty of the finest cars in the world will – as ever – be the main focus, but some of the UK’s top car clubs will also be bringing 90 of their best cars each to battle for prestigious prizes. This year the Concours will feature additional events including the Club Trophy, Jaguar Trophy and Bentley Trophy of Elegance in a nod to Liz’s 90th. |
| Further honouring Her Majesty, this year’s Concours will also showcase a selection of cars from 1926, the year of her birth, and a selection of revolutionary cars of the past 90 years – one from each decade she has graced us with her royal presence. And finally the Concours will also debut a new feature lawn focusing on the latest supercars from legendary marques such as Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Aston Martin.
