CES, the annual Consumer Electronics Show staged in Las Vegas every winter, has increasingly become a forum for the more adventurous automakers to showcase high tech concept cars

and provide a much needed break from all the geekery. At this year’s event both Bentley and Mclaren unveiled killer concepts focused on technology but by no means giving performance short shrift. Bentley decided to go with a high-end audio theme while McLaren went all-out with a spaceship-like interior and electronics. Bentley partnered with high-performance audio manufacturer Monster while McLaren did the deed with Japanese electronics juggernaut JVCKENWOOD.

Bentley’s offering, dubbed the “Monster by Mulliner” Continental GT V8 S, is a bespoke offering designed to appeal to the wealthy sports and music set who want as much power from their stereos as they do their engines. It features a distinctive red and black color scheme as well as a custom sound system not available in any production car in the world. The McLaren 675LT JVCKENWOOD Concept meanwhile is based on the 675LT Coupe and celebrates the 25th anniversary of McLaren and JVCKENWOOD’s Formula 1 partnership. Chief among its assets is an F1-worthy JVCKENWOOD CAROPTRONICS system, for your inner Lewis Hamilton. So the only question is, Monster or McLaren…..?
