Hiking and Running Grandeur Peak

Grandeur Peak is another one of Utah's high mountains in Millcreek Canyon. You will see a ton of fantastic views from all over once you reach the top. You will see the SLC Valley, Parleys Canyon, Mount Olympus and a couple lakes. From the parking lot to the top of the mountain I got 7.1 Miles round trip. When you find the sign it says its 3 miles at the top, so if you're in the parking lot it'll calculate to 7.1 miles round trip.

The Trail does start out steep but it will end up being flat and a little hill after you pass the beginning of it. You do gain about 2,900 feet of elevation once you get to the peaks. Just beware coming down is a little tricky.

This canyon offers fantastic views of the SLC Valley and into Parley's Canyon. I would totally recommend doing this in the spring, summer, and fall. I think it would be too intense to go snowshoeing up there. It might be fun, but 7 miles of snowshoeing will not be exciting. This is a moderate hike and might be a little tough for beginner hikers.

I'm not sure if this is a popular trail since when we went, we didn't see that many people may be about two other people on the trail. I would suggest starting early, we started around 2 and got done around 5ish, but we took our time to get up there and eating a snack at the top as well.

When you are coming down the trail is kind of hard to find, we ended up falling a little down but we climbed back up when we saw someone on the actual trail.
