Dickies Product Testing: Cold Mode

‘Tis the season… to be freezing cold whilst out on the job and starting each morning on your way out to the van wishing you’d ordered your Dickies work wear before you could see your own breath. Are we right or are we right?

Be like Nicole.  Nicole was looking for adventure and prepared for her trip up Mount Kilimanjaro and got her Dickies gear in advance.

I approved Dickies as my cousin has used the brand on many occasions from hiking the Isle of Skye to handy work and swore by their high quality, therefore decided I would try and reach out and see what would happen.

Nicole asked us for hard wearing and Warm work wear and so we sent her our toughest gear, ahead of her trip earlier this year. We couldn’t resist her product testing for us whilst completing her climb to raise funds and awareness for Childreach International.

My favourite piece was the fleece, which I wore endlessly at end and after the trek! It kept me warm when the sun set and the air was thin and cold. On the first night it was our first glance at the full summit – it was spectacular.

The Dickies Two Tone Micro Fleece is a close fit and ideal for layering and the micro fleece fabric will keep you warm and comfortable in cold climates. The handy thumb hole on the cuff and the two tone design are great for work and for leisure.

Nicole also tested the Dickies Trapper Hat, our Dickies Harrison cap and our Baselayers too.

Throughout the trek, the kit went through a lot with varying weather conditions. With conditions from the dust to the ice they kept me warm and secure!

With the Dickies Baselayer Thermal Vest it works for you to keep you cool and warm when needed and the contrast stitching looks good too.

For full body coverage, team the vest with the Dickies Baselayer Thermal Long Johns. They’re breathable, comfortable and will help to regulate your body temperature.

Dickies workwear was well and truly put to the test as Nicole begun to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and on 12th June, she did it!

I am proud to say that on June 12th I managed to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro and would not have been able to do it without your generous support.
