Anytime I read a story about parents abusing or murdering their own children, I’m filled with disgust and rage. How could you inflict pain and suffering on the very children you brought into this world? I just don’t understand any of it. A Massachusetts couple has been charged with several counts of child abuse in the death of their 6-year-old daughter Sophia. Shana Pedroso and Marvin Brito were arrested after Sophia was brought to the hospital with substantial injuries. She was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, but the cause and manner of death is still pending.

In a truly shocking twist to this already awful story, Pedroso and Brito Allegedly told their 9-year-old son Julian not to call 911 as his little sister was dying. The boy also suffered serious injuries, including bruising to his face.

Police are trying to piece together what happened, but Julian allegedly told investigators that he and his sister were attacked by bullies while out on a walk. However, evidence collected from Pedroso the day she was taken into custody suggests that the people behind the brutal attack were none other than Pedroso and Brito.

Shana Pedroso and Marvin Brito were arrested after their daughter was found unresponsive at home and brought to the hospital.
