Like many people, I was saddened to hear that one of my favorite HGTV shows, Fixer Upper, starring Chip and Joanna Gaines would be ending after it’s fifth season. After all, it was one of those television shows my entire family would get caught up watching. I would have it playing in the family room and as each of my family members would pass through they’d stop and watch, eagerly awaiting the final reveal.

Chip and Joanna, who made us all fall in love not only with shiplap but with the couple themselves, sadly decided it was time to move on from their hit renovation show.

While there seems to be many reasons the couple decided it was best to leave their hugely popular show, including successful spin off business ventures for both Chip and Joanna, some say it was a desire to simply spend more time with their four kids that was the main reason for the couple’s departure. Some even speculated at the time that the couple were planning on adding to their family.

People need to speculate no longer. Chip and Joanna Gaines confirmed they are indeed growing their family. Joanna Gaines is expecting their fifth baby, and their announcement is perfectly perfect.

It’s definitely making us miss this couple even more!
