Any of you who are a stay-at-home mom know just how hard it is. I’m not saying being a working mother isn’t hard too, because we all know it is, but stay-at-home moms often tend to get a bad rap.

I’ve been a stay-at-home-mom for over fourteen years now. I feel like I’ve heard all the criticisms there are. I’ve dealt with endless stupid questions about what I do all day to those who pity me because I must be so unfulfilled. The bottom line is I’m thrilled I had the choice to stay home with my kids. I also wish sometimes that I did work outside of the home because staying home is hard.

The only criticism of being a stay-at-home mom that ever bothered me was when people assumed it was a vacation. Because staying home with four kids under five definitely sounds like Club Med, right?

There will always be people who think that being a stay-at-home mom is easy. That stay-at-home moms do nothing but watch soap operas, get together with their friends during play dates and drink coffee. How wrong they are.

One stay-at-home mom got tired of her partner telling her she ‘does nothing’ all day so she decided to show him exactly what she does.

She filmed her entire day and posted a time lapse video proving that being a stay-at-home mom is far from a vacation.
