When planning for our 2016 European Adventures, I knew that I wanted to explore somewhere completely new, while revisiting some of our favorites spots in Italy. For the past couple of years, I had been reading and hearing about Croatia, and when I was looking at the map of Europe and trying to decide what would be good and strategic choice, it sounded like a good idea to dip our feet into the Adriatic after our visit to Italy….

Croatia didn’t end up just being a “good idea,” but rather a life changing one for me, personally. What I saw; the food I tasted; the people I met; the history I uncovered; the sites I explored have all impacted me forever wanting MORE and MORE of this entire area…so much so, that after just one day into the Croatian leg of our trip, my husband and I made a decision that we wanted to come back next year to taste even MORE of Croatia, adding in Montenegro, Slovenia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina into the mix. Hopefully, we will be able to realize this dream in 2017, but in the meantime, please enjoy some of the highlights of The Benitez European Adventures in Croatia 2016, below.
