Curing Monday Blues with Craftsvilla

Let's face it every now and then Monday morning blue disease hits us especially if you land up opening Facebook first thing in the morning and can see hundreds of Monday hatred memes shared. To add more fuel to the fire, the eternal drama of what to wear to work and I have nothing to wear makes Mondays even more frustrating.

I remember reading a quote somewhere "The love of all sartorial things a.k.a "the passion for fashion" is both a gift and a nightmare". I feel it is my gift, I always spend the extra hour to try on clothes which put a smile on my face. I usually land up wearing a fun outfit and bright lipstick to add that necessary sparkle to make my Monday!

I usually dress according to my mood. Of-late, I am tending to wear more ethnic clothes and ditching the pencils skirts. You never have to worry about office appropriateness of kurta unless you are wearing heavy anarkalis. You can wear them plain or printed, long or short. It is easy to mix and match and rotate your kurtas and yet land up looking like it is a new outfit. I have previously also mentioned that I have always found that kurtas are more comfortable option for office wear.

I have curated three favourite picks from Craftsvilla's casual and office wear collection. These ethnic outfits are fun, trendy and modern and will definitely cure your Monday morning blues!

1. Black and beige combo is eternally favourite combo of mine. Mainly because you can pair it up with quirky jewellery and footwear and have your way with a classic outfit. I especially love the style and cut of the kurta (buy here), a modern uptake from the usual humdrum kurta.

2. You can never go wrong with colors. They are my instant sugar upgrade. I loved this bright yellow kurta and side slit (buy here). The fun side kurta gives a modern edgy feeling and yet it is office appropriate. I would pair this with colorful rings and mid size heels. Lets face it! Mondays is not the time to wear high heels especially if your job involves running around.

3. Experiment with different styles. I love this kurta with the balloon finish in the bottom and the colorful piping (buy here). I would pair this with colorful juttis or jodhpuri shoes and finish with a bhindi. Juttis and jodhpuri shoes are definitely pocket friendly and nowadays you have an option to customize them to suit your needs.

Hope this blog post will help you choose not so boring kurtas to work. Let me know what you think of the styling ideas and if you land up buying any of these kurtas from Craftsvilla, tag me on my social accounts and show me how you styled them.

Loads of love,
