The best part about blogging is I get to see my style evolve with time. Of late, my style has been casual chic. I have been investing only on basics and statement items which I can wear to work as well as to causal weekend escapes. So, I decided to compile list of items that I am currently coveting.
1. Crisp white shirt with gold buttons - You must be wondering why the gold button detailing? Well the gold buttons adds little edge required. It looks stylish and classy to wear to office without looking overdone. During weekends, I can style it with a maxi dress, skirt or jeans. I picked up mine at ZARA.
2. Ripped Jeans - These are one pair which will always come back in fashion. I always invest in a darker pair as it suits my body type. If you are curvy, then I suggest a darker pair. I picked up mine at ZARA.
3. Printed Scarves - I cannot live without printed scarves. Since my wardrobe is more of basics, I need some tame drama in my outfits. The best way to get that is printed scarf. My favorite is polka dots and leopard print scarfs. You will be surprised how classy leopard print scarf looks with work attire. I picked up mine during my travels to Coorg.
4. Nude Lipstick and Kohl - Nude lipstick helps me get through the day without having to worry about having lipstick on my teeth, the color disorientation. It gives me the natural shine I want. I usually couple my nude lipstick with thick kohl. It instantly adds charm to my face. My current favorite Nude Lipstick is Creme D' Nude from MAC and my favorite kohl is Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.
5. Floral Dress - Comfortable and stylish to wear to office coupled with lightweight blazer. I can restyle it for the weekend with mirrored sunglasses and messy side braid. I got my floral dress from Target (Prabal Gurung for Target)
6. Silver Flats - I always thought silver flats would look gaudy for office wear, I was pleasantly surprised it went well with monotone outfits. There are limitless ways to style silver flats for the weekend. It is one investment I have made which has reaped maximum ROI! I brought mine during ZARA Sale for Rs.1000
7. Digital Watches - I always felt watches define one's personality. Of late I am inclining to digital watches. I feel they are best watches for causal Fridays to work. They look sleek and add edge to Friday causual outfit. Fastrack digital watches are my favorites.
8. Gold rings - Initial days I bought a lot of junk jewellery. Now, I invest in gold rings which I can use for my daily needs and still look stylish on any outfit.
9. Tailored White Blazer - White blazer can make any outfit look smart. Moreover, a tailored white blazer adds the sophistication required for any outfit. I picked up mine at ZARA India
10. Red Medium height heels - Should I say more? This is the mecca of shoes to make anything look awesome!
