Eyeglass World Wins Newsweek “America’s Best Customer Service Award”

One of most trusted names in news, Newsweek magazine, just named Eyeglass World as one of the best in the country when it comes to customer service.

Working with a respected global research firm, Newsweek compiled a list of American companies that provide the best customer service. In the Brick and Mortar Eyewear Retailers category, Eyeglass World was recognized.

Global research firm, Statista, collected data from approximately 20,000 consumers. Each consumer was asked various questions such as, “Would you recommend to a family or friend?” Consumers were also asked to rate nominees based on factors like: accessibility, customer focus, and competence. From this data, Statista generated a list of the top three businesses in each retail categories.

Known for their deep reporting on the plight of American workers, part of Newsweeks objective in this survey was to examine the ways in which companies nurture their relationships with customers. The publication had previously examined the larger, impersonal forces that are transforming retail—how online retailers, especially, are changing the climate of the way we buy and sell things.

But, through this survey Newsweek hoped to examine and recognize how getting “personal” impacts a business’ success. Brands that make a connection with customers and go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction are still the ones that invoke customer loyalty and create raving fans.

The survey honored 141 retail categories in all. Along with eyewear retailers, businesses ranging from convenience stores, to cosmetics retailers, to supermarkets were all recognized in the Brick and Mortar Retailers: Food, Health and Beauty category.
