Burberry Brit vs. Burberry London (2023): Which is Better?

Burberry Brit vs. Burberry London.

Two completely different fragrances.

This review will compare Burberry Brit and Burberry London. I will detail their smell, performance, and anything else you need to know. At the end, I break apart their differences and let you know which is best for you.

Burberry Brit

Fleeting citruses and spices lead the opening. They are both faint and never prominent. Instead of the spices being an awakening pepper, they’re a subtle dry cardamom. Soon, powdery rose dominates the scent, making up the bulk of the wear.

The rose is not feminine; it retains a fresh nature with a slight barbershop vibe.

After a few hours, it dries to a powdery, musky base with a faint woody background. The rose is mostly gone but left its powdery nature. The warm woods are as faint as the opening citrus.

Burberry Brit for Men doesn’t have great performance. It lasts five to six hours on the skin with light projection. It pushes out a foot for the first hour before receding. As for versatility, it is for all occasions worn in the fall, winter, and early spring.

Burberry London

The opening starts with fleeting freshness, prominent spices, and faint warm tobacco in the background. The opening almost smells like potpourri. After the first few minutes, prominent cinnamon mixes with a leather note, washing over all other notes.

This part can be overpowering because of the cinnamon and leather combination. Together it is slightly decisive with its strong and mature accents.

The heart of the fragrance retains the prominent leather and cinnamon mixture, smoothed out by slightly sweet tobacco. Shows of lavender in the background add a light floral tone but never amount to much.

The rest of the wear settles into woody tobacco and warm, spiced leather. There was little scent development throughout the fragrance, but the longer it was worn, the better it smelt.

The performance is decent. It lasts six to eight hours on the skin with light projection. The opening burst pushes out one to two feet but sits close to the skin after this period. This is fall and winter wear for all occasions.

Final Words

They both have prominent spice in the opening. However, this is the only similarity. Burberry Brit is a fresh and easy-to-wear fragrance, whereas Burberry London is darker, warm, and spicy. London for Men lasts slightly longer than Brit for Men, but it’s not drastically different.

The final burning question is, which is better? Burberry London. It is a unique mixture of notes that works better in cool and colder weather than Burberry Brit.

Are either of these worth it? For the right price. I will not overpay for these two fragrances or buy a backup bottle. Do what you want with that information.

After you try Burberry Brit and/or Burberry London, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
