Guess Seductive Homme Blue (2023) Full Review – Worth it?

Seductive Homme Blue.

An aquatic take on a seductive fragrance.

Guess Seductive Homme Blue was released in 2012. It is based on aromatics, spices, and marine accords. It lasts four hours on the skin with light projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Guess Seductive Homme Blue Smell Like?

There’s no denying the opening is slightly synthetic. Initially, a fresh, slight powderiness and spicy combination is at the forefront. The specific notes need to be more prevalent for me to pick out, but I assume it’s a trio of citruses, cardamom, and geranium.

In the background is an aquatic and woody backbone that becomes more prevalent as the wear continues. After 10 – 15 minutes, cardamom spice and hints of citruses come through with a distinct aroma.

The mid stays similar. The overarching emphasis is fresh and aquatic with powdery spiciness. The unique addition to the heart is caviar. It never comes across as “fishy” but solely amplifies the marine nature of the fragrance.

The dry down adds a dry and smooth cashmere wood with a mossy and spicy element in the background. This is what you’ll get for the rest of the wear.

Guess Seductive Homme Blue notes:

Performance

Seductive Homme Blue lasts four hours on the skin with intimate projection. The first two hours, it pushes out two feet. After this period, it becomes a skin scent for the rest of the wear.

The sillage fairs slightly better. When you walk, it leaves a nice scent trail but nothing intense or that hangs in the air long. This performance is with five sprays.

This is spring, summer, and fall wear. I have tried it on the warmer days of winter, but I was applying more sprays than the performance I was getting. The original Seductive Homme is a much better cold-weather scent. As for occasions, it is all.

The mass appeal and likability are above average. The name of the fragrance doesn’t lie. This is an affordable, seductive, warm-weather fragrance. Lastly, the uniqueness is average. There’s nothing about this fragrance that makes it stand out.

Besuited Aroma gives Guess Seductive Homme Blue a 6.1 out of 10 rating.

Final Words

Seductive Homme Blue is an excellent dupe of YSL La Nuit de L’Homme EDT. I have a full review here if you want to learn more.

The final burning question is, is Guess Seductive Homme Blue worth it? No. I appreciate the marine addition to the Seductive DNA. However, there are other great aquatic scents at the same price point. The performance is the biggest downfall for me.

After you try Guess Seductive Homme Blue, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
