Dunhill Icon EDP was released in 2015. It is based on aromatics, spices, and citruses. It lasts five hours on the skin with light projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Dunhill Icon EDP Smell Like?

The opening is a trio of citric bergamot, Neroli, and pepper. The bergamot and pepper are the most prominent, with a citrusy freshness. The pepper has a degree of earthy and smoky accents not found in many other pepper notes. Neroli adds a slightly sweet tinge but mainly sits in the background.

The citruses subside over time, leaving room for aromatic lavender to make its way in. The heart of the wear is fresh aromatics and some spice nuances. The dry down comes with a leathery depth, while the aromatics and spices are the same strength.

This is what you’ll get for the rest of the wear. It is an extremely simple scent.

Icon EDP lasts five hours on the skin with light projection. The first two hours, it pushes out two feet. After this period, it becomes a skin scent. The sillage doesn’t fair much better. This stays quite close to the skin as you move. This performance is with five sprays.

This is for spring, summer, and fall wear for all occasions. The simple aroma is a huge benefit as it makes it extremely wearable. The mass appeal and likability are above-average. This isn’t a mega compliment-getter, but it is enjoyed by all.

Lastly, the uniqueness is average. Nothing about Icon makes it stand out other than the earthy tinge. In all reality, it is a simple citrus, aromatic, soapy, and fresh fragrance.

The final burning question is, is Dunhill Icon EDP worth it? Yes. I love having this as it is so wearable and simple. In the warmer weather, spray on and go, and you won’t have to think twice.

It is an even better deal if you’re looking for a soapy or fresh fragrance in the $50 – $60 range.
