Is it the best Versace Eros?

Versace Eros EDP was released in 2020. It is based on citrus, vanilla, and wood. It lasts seven to eight hours on the skin with above-average projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Versace Eros EDP Smell Like?

You’re immediately hit with the signature Eros mint. Is it spicy? Yes, but it has been tamed and more well-rounded. A sweet candied apple, vanilla combination, and subtle citruses play second fiddle in the background. The overarching emphasis is invigorating and fresh.

In the background are wafts of ambroxan with ambery and musky nuances. It gives Eros EDP considerable depth and warmth.

The citruses fade as the wear continues. Sweet vanilla fills the void. The candied apple from before still contributes a sweet accent, but the vanilla has gotten significantly stronger. There aren’t too many powdery nuances; it is smooth and well-rounded.

The dry down is the better part of the fragrance. The ambery ambroxan from before has gotten stronger. And there has been an addition of warm sandalwood and rich leather nuances that smooth over the scent.

The rest of the wear is prominent sweet vanilla and warm woods with subtle amber and leather nuances smoothing out the fragrance.

Performance

Versace Eros EDP lasts seven to eight hours on the skin with above-average projection. It pushes out three feet for the first three hours. After this period, it recedes, never becoming a skin scent. The sillage is excellent. The more you move, the better this smells and projects hence, why it is great for nights out. This performance is with five sprays.

This is all-season and occasion wear. I know this may sound odd if you’re familiar with the EDT version. Yet, it’s more well-rounded and subtle. But don’t worry; it still shines on a night out. In the high heat of the summer, take it lighter on the sprays.

The mass appeal and likability are excellent. Why else would this be so good for going out? The sweet vanilla note with the mint is the part that grabs the most attention in the opening. The vanilla and woods pull you in, in the base. If you’re seeking compliments, this is the fragrance for you.

Lastly, the uniqueness is above-average. None of the notes are one-of-a-kind, but how they are blended is different. Comparative to the original, it shares much of the same DNA.

Where Should I Buy Versace Eros EDP?

So, Versace Eros EDP is worth it. I prefer this over the EDT and Parfum as it’s the best of both worlds. The EDT is too “clubbing geared,” I prefer the EDP as its the same alluring aroma but is tamed for the office and other close-quarter settings.

The Parfum version is as good, darker, and more well-rounded. However, it’s more expensive, and I don’t find the additional price worth the additional benefits.
