Versace Eros Parfum was released in 2021. It is based on aromatics, amber, and vanilla. It lasts nine to ten hours with above-average projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Versace Eros Parfum Smell Like?

The opening is a typical Eros. A bright and attention-grabbing lemon note paired with spicy mint. Both are very fresh and tamed by the crisp sweetness of the apple. Interestingly, the opening apple is fruity. I think this was always there in other versions, but it was drowned out by the intense vanilla.

In the mid, I smell the depth of warm amber. This comes from an authentic amber rather than an ambroxan note in the EDP version. Aromatic geranium comes in with power and amplifies mint’s fresh, aromatic nature.

Tonka Bean with vanillic nuances adds in the dry-down of the ambery backbone. The fresh aromatics are lingering, and this is what you’ll get for the rest of the wear. This is the simplest concentration of all Eros. I can smell all notes in the scent tree.

Performance

Versace Eros Parfum lasts seven to eight hours on the skin with above-average projection. It pushes out three feet for the first three hours. After this period, it recedes, never becoming a skin scent. The sillage is excellent. The more you move, the better this smells and projects hence, why it is great for nights out. This performance is with five sprays.

This is all-season and occasion wear. This may sound odd if you’re familiar with the EDT version. Yet, it’s more well-rounded and subtle. But don’t worry; it still shines on a night out. In the high heat of the summer, take it lighter on the sprays.

The mass appeal and likability are excellent. Why else would this be so good for going out? The citric lemon with mint is the part that grabs the most attention in the opening. The vanillic tonka bean and amber pull you in, in the base. If you’re seeking compliments, this is the fragrance for you.

Lastly, the uniqueness is above-average. None of the notes are one-of-a-kind, but how they are blended is different. Comparative to the original, it shares much of the same DNA.

There are no dupes of Versace Eros Parfum. The most similar fragrances are the other versions of the Eros line.
